From December 29 to January 8, a new competition of nations called the United Cup will be held.

At the moment, the ATP Cup was being played, but they have come to an agreement that both men and women can play. It is contested by two men’s singles matches, another two women’s matches and a singles match mixed in each set. There are 18 countries competing divided into six groups and each team has 7-8 players. There are three Australian cities that participate as Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.

In Perth, Group A will compete where Greece leads Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipaswith Belgium David Goffin and Elise Mertens and Bulgaria, which has participated by invitation, gets Grigor Dimitrov and Viktoriya Tomova. The best of each group will face the best of the other group competing in their city. Namely, group A versus F, group B versus E and group C versus D. The winners advance to the semi-finals in Sydney, with the best loser of these duels among the group winners being the other semi-finalist. 6 and 7 January in Sydney.
