Natalia Vikhlyantseva is a Russian tennis player, who has career-high rankings of No 54 in singles, achieved on October 23, 2017. She has won two ITF titles and has one WTA final.
Natalia Vikhlyantseva was born on 16 February 16, 1997, in Volgograd, Russia. Her favorite court surface is grass and is playing a right-handed forehand and two-handed backhand. As a junior, she had won AKB Swiss Junior Trophy 2011 (Switzerland) and J4 St Petersburg \ Governor Cup 2012 (Russia).
Natalia Vikhlyantseva made her professional debut in 2012 at the $25,000 W25 Moscow (Russia) but was defeated in the first round. Later the same year, she took part at several more ITF tournaments, as her biggest achievement was the quarter-finals of the $10,000 Izmir (Turkey).
In 2013, Natalia Vikhlyantseva continue playing both for junior and ITF tours. She took part at the Junior Grand Slam, reaching the second rounds of the Australian Open and the Wimbledon, third round of the French Open / Roland Garros and the US Open. At the ITF tour, she played her first final at the $15,000 Hilton Head Island, SC (USA), but lost to the Czech Marie Bouzkova. At the end of the year, she reached the semi-finals of the $25,000+H Merida (Spain).
Natalia Vikhlyantseva made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2015 Shenzhen Open where she received a wildcard. In her first WTA match, she defeated Anna-Lena Friedsam, in three sets. She lost in the second round against Simona Halep, in straight sets. During the year, she reached her second final at the $25,000 Saint-Petersburg (Russia), but lost to Polina Leykina.
In 2016, Natalia Vikhlyantseva won her first trophy at $25,000 Plzen (Czech Republic). Later during the year she won the prestigious $100,000 Saint-Petersburg (Russia) and made her first breakthrough in the WTA tour at WTA 125 Open BLS De Limoges, reaching the semi-finals. She was also the runner-up at the $100,000 W100+H Dubai.
Natalia Vikhlyantseva improved her performance and made her best season in 2017. She debuted in the Grand Slam at the Australian Open, reaching the second round. Later in January, she reached the semi-finals of the WTA 500 St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy. Natalia Vikhlyantseva played her first WTA final at WTA 250 Libema Open, but lost to Anett Kontaveit. At the end of the year, she reached the semi-finals at the WTA 500 VTB Kremlin Cup. During the year, Natalia Vikhlyantseva entered for the first time in the Top 100 and reached her career-high ranking of No 54.
In 2018, however, she was not able to defend her good performance and results. She failed to cross the second round in her whole WTA calendar. Only in October, Natalia Vikhlyantseva turned back to the ITF and took part the $80,000 W80 Poitiers (France), reaching the final. She dropped out of the Top 100.
Natalia Vikhlyantseva returned to the WTA tour in 2019 and reached the second round of the Australian Open. She reached the third round of the WTA 1000 BNP Paribas Indian Wells Open, as well as the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Libema Open and WTA 250 Ladies Open Lausanne.
In 2020 and 2021, she played a little and without any big success. Her biggest achievement was the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Ladies Open Lausanne in 2021.
However, Natalia Vikhlyantseva is a talented and young tennis player, who for sure will be noticed in further tournaments. She is also very beautiful and one of the most attractive tennis babes.
