World No.1 Iga Swiatek said she was ready for Caroline Garcia’s aggressive style of play as the Pole was happy with how she handled business against the Frenchwoman. In her second group stage match at the WTA Finals, Swiatek beat Garcia 6-3, 6-2 to improve to 2-0 in Fort Worth and seal a spot in the semifinal.
Swiatek, who lost to Garcia in Warsaw this summer, entered her WTA Finals match knowing what to expect and responded much better this time than she did three months ago. After the match, Swiatek was asked how he managed to handle the pressure from Garcia.

By beating Garcia and Daria Kasatkina, Swiatek secured a spot in the semifinal of the WTA Finals.
Swiatek, 21, has had a very dominant season as he now has a strong chance of winning his ninth title of the year. After winning two Grand Slam titles and reaching the No. 1 ranking, Swiatek would love to end her year by winning her first WTA Finals title.
