Charlie Hull had some serious health issues during the season. Although she planned to prepare for her future goals, she had to deal with both COVID-19 and, later, food poisoning caused by salmonella. These difficult times have raised concerns that she may be out of the sport for some time. In an interview with Hope Barnett of the LPGA Tour, Hall shared her struggles during her illness. Despite these setbacks, she impressively took T7 at the Hilton Grand Vacation Race of Champions. Her ability to bounce back shows that nothing can stop her from achieving her goals. Fans are truly inspired by her tenacity and determination.

«I had a crazy off-season. I came back from Grant Thornton. [Invitational] And he had covid for 10 days.

Then I was weak at Christmas and on antibiotics. Then I went out for dinner on New Year’s Day, and then I was sick for that whole week. I went to Dubai for training last week and I was still sick and then I was in the hospital from Sunday to Tuesday. I found out I had salmonella food poisoning.

Then I got into the plane and landed. [Wednesday], so it is too late to an event. I’m not normally this late to an event. But at least I’m here and at least I’m living — but yeah, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster off-season.

Hal felt a sense of dread at the thought that she had no preparation for the competition. He was also concerned about her being late to an event. However, all the obstacles that appeared could not stop this great 27-year-old golfer from impressing everyone. Charlie emphasized that she was happy with the way she started the season. Performances like these give hope that Hull will have a good season and show further improvement from last time.

«Yeah, I’m especially happy that I arrived so late. I wasn’t prepared. I went in and played pro-am, and that was it. Yeah, no, I’m happy at the beginning of the season.» – Hall continued.

Charlie plans to right the wrongs of the past and do great things this season. She had a chance to learn a lot in 2023. Mistakes are meant to guide us on the right path. Hall definitely made a lot of mistakes and what she needs to improve on in her game.

«[I’m excited to work on] Beautiful everything. I just started to get back into the mood. I’ve been grinding hard, but I’ve been so weak for about five weeks that I feel like I’m not as steady as I was the first day.

This great golfer always strives to be better and wants to show more than before. Although Charlie has performed well internationally, she knows that she still has a lot of room for improvement.

«Other than that, I played solid golf. It was really tricky out there today and I hit some great shots going in. I missed a few shots, but it wasn’t really my strike, the greens were really quick. I’ve been playing six in the UK and now it’s like a bloody 14. You’ll hear it!»
