Caroline Garcia is a French professional tennis player. She has won seven singles and six doubles titles on the WTA Tour, one singles and one doubles title on the WTA 125K series, as well as one singles title and four doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. On September 10, 2018, she reached her best singles ranking of world No 4, and on October 24, 2016, she peaked at No 2 in the WTA doubles rankings, tied with fellow Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.

Caroline Garcia was born on October 16, 1993, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France. She was introduced to tennis at an early age. Her biggest junior achievements are the runner-up at the US Open 2011 and the quarter-finals at the US Open 2009, runner-up at the International Casablanca Junior Cup 2009. She also reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2011, the French Open / Roland Garros 2011, and Wimbledon 2011.

Caroline Garcia made her professional debut in 2009 at $10,000 Lyon (France). She lost in the first round to Laura Thorpe. The same year, she took part at several ITF tournaments. In September, she reached semi-finals of the $10,000 Espinho (Spain).

In 2010, Caroline Garcia reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious $100,000 Cagnes-Sur-Mer (France) and the semi-finals of the $25,000 Limoges (France). The same year, she reached her first final $25,000 W25 Aschaffenburg (Germany), but lost to Madalina Gojnea.

Caroline Garcia earned a wild card at the Australian Open in 2011 and beat Varvara Lepchenko in the first round in her first appearance in the main draw of a WTA tournament. However, she lost to Ayumi Morita in the second round. Later the same year, she reached two more finals in the ITF tour at $25,000 W25 Osprey (Florida, USA) and $50,000 Kazan (Russia). Unfortunately, she failed to win her first professional trophy in both. In 2011, she player also at the French Open / Roland Garros, reaching the second round.

In 2012, Caroline Garcia reached the semi-finals of the $60,000 Quanzhou (China), $100,000 Cagnes-Sur-Mer (France), $25,000 Makinohara (Japan), $25,000 W25 Taipei (Taiwan).

Caroline Garcia won her first ITF trophy at the $100,000 Cagnes-Sur-Mer (France). She reached the second rounds of the French Open / Roland Garros and Wimbledon. The same year, she entered for the first time in the Top 100, ending the season at world’s No 74.

In 2014, Caroline Garcia won her first WTA title at the WTA 250 Copa Colsanitas. She reached the semi-finals of the Abierto Mexicano TELCEL Presentado Por HSBC, quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 Mutua Madrid Open, and WTA 1000 Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open, as well as the third round of Wimbledon. She packed during the season at world’s No 34 and ended the year at No 37.

Caroline Garcia won another WTA trophy at WTA 125 Open BLS De Limoges in 2015. She also was the runner-up at the wtA 250 Abierto Mexicano TELCEL Presentado Por HSBC and WTA 250 Abierto GNP Seguros. She reached the third round of the Australian Open. In March, she peaked at the world’s No 25, ending the year at No 34.

In 2016, Caroline Garcia won the title at the WTA 250 Internationaux de Strasbourg and WTA 250 Mallorca Open. She was the runner-up at the WTA 125 Open BLS De Limoges and the semi-finals of the WTA 500 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and WTA 250 Abierto GNP Seguros.

Caroline Garcia continued with her good performance in 2017. She started the year reaching the third round of the Australian Open. Later the same year, she reached the semi-finals of the WTA 250 Abierto GNP Seguros and WTA 250 Internationaux de Strasbourg. In May, Caroline Garcia made her breakthrough at the French Open / Roland Garros, reaching the quarter-final. She reached the fourth round of Wimbledon, quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 Rogers Cup. At the end of the year, Caroline Garcia won her most prestigious trophies, winning the WTA 1000 Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open and WTA 1000 China Open. On the final tournament of the year (BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SCglobal), she reached the semi-final, losing to Venus Williams. Following her great performance, Caroline Garcia entered in the Top 10 and ended the year at No 8.

In 2018, she continue with the good play and reached the fourth round of the Australian Open. She reached the quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 Qatar Total Open and WTA 500 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Later during the year, Caroline Garcia reached the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 Mutua Madrid Open, fourth round of the French Open / Roland Garros, quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 Rogers Cup. At the end of the year, she won another trophy at the WTA 250 Tianjin Open. During the year, she reached her career-high ranking of No 4 on September 10, 2018.

Caroline Garcia won another trophy in 2019 at WTA 250 Viking Open Nottingham. She was the runner-up at WTA 250 Internationaux de Strasbourg.

In 2020 and 2021, she performed strongly at the Grand Slam, reaching the fourth round of the French Open / Roland Garros 2020 and the third round of the US Open 2020. However, her form dropped and Caroline Garcia had quite insufficient results.
