Tennis icons Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams met during the Moncler Genius fashion show in London. Through her Instagram account, Sharapova revealed that she bumped into Williams during a fashion show in London. Sharapova was apparently delighted to meet her former rival as she captioned her post: «Together».

Sharapova and Williams, both retired from professional tennis, also met during the 2021 Met Gala in New York.
Back then, Williams spoke very positively about meeting Sharapova. «She’s fun. We talked, we clicked, we laughed, we talked about tennis and it was really, really fun and she loved it!» Williams said after meeting Sharapova at the Met Gala in 2021.
Sharapova, Williams are now family-oriented
Sharapova, who retired from professional tennis after the 2020 Australian Open, became a mother last summer after welcoming a baby boy, Theodore. On the other hand, Williams, who has a five-year-old daughter, Olympia, recently said that she is «working to give Olympia a brother.» Williams has gotten quite used to motherhood, while Sharapova is still learning about her new role every day.
In one of her interviews after giving birth, Sharapova admitted that she wanted to be a mother, but noted that she still had things to learn about motherhood. «That’s hard! I think it depends on where you are in life; I can’t compare them.
I was really ready for motherhood. It was something I dreamed of forever. I have a very good relationship with my own mother, we are very close and share a lot, and I am an only child, so I felt that I was ready to have a child of my own and pass on my own experiences to her.
I’m so excited to see this little boy grow up, even though that’s still incredibly hard because I’m still trying to figure things out. Every day is a new day and every time you think you have something down, you realize that you don’t.
There is always something new to learn about them and about you. That’s incredibly beautiful, but it’s also challenging,» Sharapova told NewBeauty.
