from the tournament

“The draw is very tight, we have many great players here in Doha, it is one of the best events in the 250 series. I’m really looking forward to this challengeAlso, since it’s my first time competing in this event and on this track, we’ll see what happens.»

About what he looks for in Spanish coaches

«I look for the Spanish mentality when I watch tennisWorking with me is not easy because I demand a lot from myself and I am hardworking. Both in tennis and physically, that’s why I think the coaches have to have a special mentality to understand me well. I’ve never worked with a German coach, but I know the mentality doesn’t suit me. I love working with David Ferrer and we would continue to work together without his circumstances at the time.»

His injury and way of enjoying tennis

«When I’m playing without pain I really enjoy playing tennis. but since June it hasn’t been like that. In Australia I played limited, I didn’t fully recover and I couldn’t move 100%. Now it was trying to enjoy and to play recovered so I can compete and that’s what I enjoy the most«.
