Between January 30th and February 5th, the new Open 6ème Sens – Métropole de Lyon event will take place in this French city. This tournament is part of the WTA series, with a category of 250, and is played on the hard indoor courts of the Palais des Sports in Gerland.

Lyon will host the WTA circuit tournament for the fourth consecutive season, starting the domestic tour after the Australian Open. In previous series, the champions were Sofia Kenin, Clara Tauson and China’s Qinwen Zheng, the current defending champion.
