Venus Williams, Serena Williams Answer How It Feels Knowing They Changed Tennis

Venus Williams, Serena Williams respond to how it feels to know they changed tennis

Venus Williams says that she is the type of person who is always striving for more and trying to reach new heights. During an interview with Bradley Cooper on the History Talks interview, Venus and Serena were asked how they felt knowing they changed the game of tennis.

“For me, I want to do more. You want to be better every moment. It’s never enough. If it was perfect, it still wasn’t perfect enough,» Venus said in the ‘History Talks’ interview, according to Vanity Fair.

Serena added: “When you’re inside, you can’t see it. It’s completely different when you’re involved.»

Serena, Venus Williams transcended the game

The Williams sisters are by far considered to be the greatest sister duo in tennis history.

During their prime, they were virtually unstoppable and the competition had to adapt to be able to compete against them. In this past US Open, the game of tennis lost one of the all-time greats. Serena, a former 23-time Grand Slam champion, retired from tennis after the US Open.

In her final tournament, Serena also teamed with her sister Venus for the US Open women’s doubles event. Unfortunately, the Williams sisters didn’t make it very far in the doubles event as they suffered a first round loss.

After Serena’s US Open campaign officially ended, Venus paid her a touching tribute via an Instagram post. «After 1 year away from the game, there is still no one who can come close to her level, her intensity, her excitement, her entertainment.

There will never be another @serenawilliams, her legacy lives on in all those she inspired to greatness, including me! No one has affected the game, or the sport, like she has. Tennis won’t be the same without her GOAT,» Venus wrote on Instagram. Venus, 42, has hinted multiple times in recent weeks that she plans to continue her career.
