Cameron Norrie: «I’ll have to be patient on clay»

Cameron Norrie has revealed all his difficulty in adapting to the surface of the court but also to the South American climate.

At the same time, however, also his tenacity in wanting to try to introduce new improvements to his game, to make the experience on clay more prolific. He said: «it was very difficult to adapt. I played in Bogotá last week to get to Buenos Aires first.

I knew it was going to be difficult, I was there a couple of years ago. I have to be very careful and make sure that I am prepared. I’m getting more and more used to the weather. I couldn’t wait to return to Buenos Aires.. Since I played Davis Cup on clay, it made sense to continue playing on this surface.

I feel better every day. I will have to play my best to have a chance to win. It usually takes me longer to find the optimal rhythm on clay., so I have to be patient with myself and keep the basics of my tennis. What I like most about Argentines is their passion.

They love tennis and sports in general. I like to see the passion of the fans. Being in Buenos Aires is a special feeling.»
