Courteney Cox was offered to do stunt work by Iga Swiatek and the American actress apparently accepted. On Instagram, Cox, who starred in the NBC sitcom Friends, posted a video of herself on a tennis court. «Wait she wasn’t ready,» Cox wrote on her Instagram post.
It was then that three-time Grand Slam champion Swiatek offered her to play doubles together. «If we played doubles together neither one would have hit you, just saying,» Swiatek wrote in the comments section. Cox responded to Swiatek: «Okay, come on over and we’ll take it on!
I want to say this.»
Swiatek preparing for the last tournament of his season
After the US Open, Swiatek rested for three weeks. Swiatek then returned to action two weeks ago in Ostrava, where she reached the final before losing to Barbora Krejcikova.
After Ostrava, Swiatek didn’t have much time to rest as he boarded a plane for San Diego. In San Diego, Swiatek ended up going all the way after beating Donna Vekic in the final. It was Swiatek’s ninth final of the year and his eighth victory in 2022.
Shortly after his win in San Diego, Swiatek noted that he has «the most intense tournament of the season» ahead of him. «I think the Finals will be the most intense tournament of the season, playing against the best players from Day 1.
We’ll be back to practicing hard when we get to Dallas, but I’ll have a few days in Florida to get into a groove before I go,» Swiatek told WTA Insider. This season, Swiatek has won two Grand Slam titles and established herself as the new face of the female tennis.
Heading into the WTA Finals, which will take place in Fort Worth, Texas, from October 31 to November 7, Swiatek is the top favorite for the title. Swiatek will no doubt be highly motivated to win the WTA Finals and end her amazing season on a high note.
