The Elon University men’s tennis team defeated North Carolina Central University, 7-0, obtaining the first success of the season, in their first home match. Junior Daniel Martín, protagonist of the match, analyzed the victory: «It would have been hard if we weren’t focused and concentrated.
But it was good to get a win at home. Hopefully we can carry that forward.» In singles, freshman Ahmed Hosni, who won 6-0, 6-0. He was followed by Condos, who won 6-0, 6-1. Martin clinched the match for Elon, scoring the fourth point in a 6-0, 6-2 win over Sebastián Pino of Central.
Elon previously won the doubles: Daniel Martin and freshman Oskar Antinheimo won 6-2 before Nicholas Condos and junior Ben Zipay evened them by winning 6-2.
