Danka Kovinic is a professional tennis player and a member of the Montenegro Fed Cup team. On February 22, 2016, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No 46.
Danka Kovinic started playing professionally in 2010. Her first WTA singles tournament was the 2013 Budapest Grand Prix, where Danka Kovinic became the first Montenegrin to reach the quarterfinals of a WTA event. Her first singles Grand Slam match-wins were at the 2015 French Open and the 2015 US Open, and she reached her first singles WTA Tour final at the Tianjin Open, in October 2015.
In 2016, Danka Kovinic reached her best position in the WTA ranking, reaching the second round of the Australian Open, quarterfinals at the Rio Open, the second rounds at the Abierto Mexicano, BNP Paribas Open, and Miami Open.
Danka Kovinic has a career record of 311–237 (56.8%), winning 12 ITF titles.
