World No.6 Caroline Garcia has parted ways with trainer Bertrand Perret and it appears that the two did not really have a happy parting. Garcia, 29, has now been left without a coach just before the start of the WTA Finals. Garcia, who had problems with her game and results in 2020, 2021, rediscovered her best tennis in 2022 with the help of coach Perret.

Perret apparently didn’t even want to wait until the end of the WTA Finals to end her collaboration with Garcia. “I am not a man of false pretenses and when it’s over, it’s over. There have been problems.

Garcia rediscovered his best tennis this year

When Garcia was asked over the summer what had helped her rediscover her old game, she suggested that Coach Perret encouraged her to never doubt her and always try to go for her shots.

«I think when I came on tour, I was definitely playing like that. That’s the way I learned to play tennis. You have to have real faith in it. If not, mistakes come pretty quickly. So I hesitated.
