In tennis we must always evolve. The sport is dynamic and everyone trains a lot. Therefore, staying the same is synonymous with taking a step back.
What we have learned the most on a tennis court is to keep fighting. We learn to stay in the game as long as possible, to always believe in it and to try until the end.
3. GREAT ADAPTATION CAPACITY
Each tournament means a different surface, different balls, altitude and temperature, etc., etc. It also means playing a completely different opponent every match. So either you adapt to these new situations or you don’t stay in the tournament.
4. KNOW HOW TO LISTEN
The one who rules and always has the last word is the coach. Knowing how to listen and having the humility to accept advice is taking a giant step towards success.
5. KNOW HOW TO ACCEPT MISTAKES
Tennis is a sport of mistakes. Learning to accept that making mistakes is normal but that we will strive to make fewer and fewer mistakes is the perfect formula for success.
6. ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD
If I’m wrong, there’s always a next point ahead.
If we continue to suffer after each point, or a set or a game lost, we will not evolve and we will not improve. The formula is simple:
I stay in the error => angry,
Analyze error => forget and improve.
7. ENDURING LONELINESS
It seems to travel to beautiful and more beautiful places, but the tennis player’s life is lonely. We have to learn to live with ourselves. So first of all feel good about ourselves!
8. LEARN TO LOSE
In a successful career, you lose many times more than you win. Every week only one person wins.
All other 31, 63 or 127 on the board lose.
9. FALL YES BUT ALWAYS GET UP!
No defeat is big enough to tag you.
Get up, accept that you played badly and work even harder on your mistakes so they don’t happen again.
Every Monday you have a new opportunity. This is the beauty of tennis.
10. A LITTLE HEALTHY CRAZY
Ahhhhhhhhhh! Without madness, the world is too boring.
Without crazy, tennis is monotony.
Long live fools!!!!
Don’t take 24 hours seriously!
